TeenTalk is the early help and support service run by Wiltshire based charity Young Melksham.
Young Melksham was formed in 2011 following the ceasing of the Extended Schools programme in the county and was committed to keeping the additional support offered to children and young people alive.
Initially serving just young people from the Melksham Community Area the charity ran its successful TeenTalk Counselling service and the popular annual Melksham Young People's Awards.
In November 2015 Young Melksham took over the then closed Canberra Youth Centre in Melksham and reopened it to start running a number of youth clubs. This service has continued to expand and, prior to Covid-19 hitting, was working with over 200 young people every week.
The TeenTalk service has been expanded to offer support to young people across North and West Wiltshrie and offers a 1-2-1 counselling service and a telephone support line.
You can find our more about Young Melksham at our main website at https://youngmelksham.org.uk.
The Young Melksham charity is governed by a dedicated and skilled group of trustees, who give their time freely. We are very grateful for their contribution and enthusiasm.
